And the healthy part is gone

In my recent attempts to be healthy, I’ve discovered I really like fried food. A lot. But then again, who doesn’t? I also really like bbq sauce, but thats not so much unhealthy as it is just really tasty

BBQ Bacon Chicken
2 bonless skinless chicken breasts
6 strips of bacon
BBQ Sauce

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
  2. Salt and pepper the chicken on both sides
  3. Wrap the 3 strips of bacon on each breasts, and place on a greased baking sheet
  4. Put a thin layer of bbq sauce on top
  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until chicken is finished. Serve with rice

Onion Strings
1 large onion
2 cups buttermilk
2 cups flour
1 scant tablespoon salt
Lots of black pepper
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
Canola Oil

1.        Slice onion very thin. Place in a baking dish and cover with buttermilk for at least one hour.

2.        Combine dry ingredients and set aside.

3.        Heat oil to 375 degrees.

4.        Grab a handful of onions, throw into the flour mixture, tab to shake off excess, and PLUNGE into hot oil. Fry for a few minutes and remove as soon as golden brown.


Chocolate Pudding Cake
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon

1.        Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, oil, and vanilla; stir well. Spoon batter into an 8-inch square greased pan.

2.        Mix an additional 1/3 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons cocoa. Sprinkle over batter in pan. Pour one cup boiling water over the contents of the pan. Don’t stir it!

3.        Bake at 350-degrees for 25-30 minutes. As the cake bakes, it forms two layers, one layer of sweet, moist cake and another layer of rich pudding
