Mexican and fair food…good combination?

I traveled down to Muncie this weekend to hang out with some friends and go to the Indiana state fair. Saturday I got to go to my favorite mexican resturant in town, Puerta Vallerta. I got the IS special, which is rice, chicken, and cheese sauce with tortillas. Sadly, I was still feeling kind of sick so I couldn’t enjoy it as much as I normally would, but it was still as good as always. Puerta’s is also known for their very tasty margerittas, which come in all sizes from the normal size to monster, and pitcher. If you love tequilla, a very good friend of mine, you won’t be disapointed. The bartenders at the resturant know how to mix correctly.

Sunday was the state fair. It was much bigger than the Lake County fair and had A LOT more food. I wasn’t to hungry, but I had to get a funnel cake, with cherry so I’d get my fruit for the day ;). It was the typical fair funnel cake, fried, hot, sweet and greasy. I loved every bite of the over priced ($7) treat…until I had to take a break and bees attacked it. Since I don’t normally eat fried food, the cake filled me up fast and messed with my stomach. I still enjoyed every second of it.
