Shots and shooters

Out of everything I’ve learned how to make in bartending class, shots and shooters happen to be the easiest and most wide version of beverage. All the amounts of liquers are equal, which makes for easy pouring. I didn’t have to learn all of the shots out there, there are just way to many, but just learning what is in each shooter makes it easy to figure out. I genrally don’t take shots, I’m a beer drinker myself (see a past post, Beer, what’s your thought) but on occasion I like to take a chocolate cake shot, which is citrus vodka, frangelico (which is a hazelnut liquer, the bottle looks like Mrs. Butterworth’s pimp), and a lemon with sugar on the side. Sure, it doesn’t sound like it would taste like a chocolate cake, but that combination makes for a very real chocolate cake taste. Its perfect if you’re a whimp shot taker (who has two thumbs and admits it) or slightly menstural (what, I’m a girl and it tastes like chocoalte, and I’m not normally a girly girl, everybody gets one!). Give it a try if you dare.
