Arabic Food

As I’ve said a few times before, my mom doesn’t really like anything exotic food, so I haven’t been able to try new foods until recently. I moved in with Katie my first senoir year at school, and we would cook together a lot (despite the fact that our other roommate Jaki was trying to lose weight for her wedding). One of the things that she would make on occasion that I love is taboli. Basically, taboli is parsley, tomatoe, onion, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and cracked wheat, and I love it so much. Last night, I went over to her apartment and we had falafal, taboli, and (I don’t remember the name, but it has meat, rice, cinnimon and pine nuts) wrapped up in pita. I ate three because it was so good. I want to make taboli for my house, but I have a feeling I’d be the only one who would eat it. Then again, that could be a good thing. What other arabic foods should I try? I love trying new food!
