Gotta love some Home Made Arabic Food…kinda
My friend Katie and I used to cook a lot when we lived together (most of my early posts are from that, actually.) I was pretty psyched when she and Jean moved up in this area, that way I could have someone else to hangout with. Something favorite of mine that she used to make was Tabolugh (I think that’s how you spell it?) and falafal. We weren’t sure what else to make last night, so we did that. Granted we used some frozen falafal, so it wasn’t as good as it could’ve been, but it was still very tasty. All of it is served in a pita either with some hummus or some Greek yogurt. She makes this all from memory, so there really aren’t exact measurements, but enjoy!
2 bunches of parsley, chopped
3 cloves garlic
2 tomatoes, chopped
1 cp (there abouts) of prepared cracked wheat
lemon juice to taste
salt and pepper to taste
- Mix all ingredients in a bowl, making sure to taste it as you go to make sure everything tastes ok. If you forgot to do the cracked wheat like Katie did and put it in last, put it in the fridge so it cools.
